On January 22nd, the second SUP Series Event: Impact Day was held at Padua bringing the freshmen classes from Salesianum, Ursuline and Padua together for a day focused on service.
The day started with walking to Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Fr. Brian Zumbrum's homily urged the students to ask themselves, "Am I a face of unity or division in my own life? The choice will always be yours. Choose wisely, our collective home depends on it."
Students then returned to Padua and made the rounds to three stations: eating lunch in the cafe together, listening to student speakers from each school reflect on their service experiences, and breaking into smaller groups for discussion and service: make placemat for nursing homes and thank you cards for soldiers. We ended with a pep rally in the gym with teams competing in a frisbee toss, hula hoop pass, leap frog relay face, and an ultimate rock paper scissors challenge.
